Guaneri Lock & Key

One of a kind custom hand-forged lock and key. The key is based on the "masterpiece" keys created by Renaissance blacksmiths to demonstrate their mastery of the craft and was created with Tom Latane. There is a tiny violin suspended in the cap of the key. The lock is modeled on a 1/2 size violin. The top of the lock is engraved sterling silver plate. The sides, back and lock mechanism are made of steel. The violin headstock acts as the bolt and moves when the key is turned. The headstock is hand-forged damascus steel resulting in wood grain appearance.
